If you are interested in building up your metabolism, you MUST understand how toxins can effect your health.

Reducing the number of detrimental choices in your life can drastically benefit your long term health. So, what is more important to you and your family? Health? Or, just living life and having a good time? Sometimes, living too much of the good life can get in the way of attaining optimal wellness. Lets take a look at the number of poor choices that may have crept into your day-to-day lifestyle.

Here’s a list of chemicals that may be damaging your health (in order from worst to best, relatively speaking):

Street Drugs and Narcotics

Tobacco and Nicotine

Alcohol Artificial Sugars

High Fructose Corn Syrup

Refined Sugars

Additives and Chemical Preservatives

Prescription Drugs Over-The-Counter Drugs (OTC’s)

Whew, that is quite a list. And, there are very few people I know that don’t have some type of affinity to at least one of the chemicals listed above.

So, what to do? Other than the street drugs, artificial sweeteners and additives, in which you can stop cold cold turkey (or in the case of street drugs, get help doing so), you want to taper-off all of the others completely, or drastically reduce their use.

Do you have a question about the Prescription Drugs and the Over-The-Counter Drugs? You must speak with your doctor before making any decision on tapering-off or reducing their use. But, in most cases, people are way over-medicated!

If you are really serious about your well-being, making an effort to greatly reduce your daily intake of toxins is of great importance.
